P6′s Laura Black’s short film “Slight will make it’s world premiere at the Action on Film International Film Festival on Saturday, July 23rd at 6pm. The screening is part of the block of shorts shown at the Regency Academy Theatres, Theatre 5, 1003 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena CA.

“Judgment At Nuremberg” opens Friday, March 11 at 7:30PM at the Santa Monica Playhouse and runs on Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sundays at 4PM until April 3.

Mediations takes us through the last day of the artist’s life with a Dying Eva laboring to complete her final exhibit. Moving in and out of memory, Hesse’s life plays back in a series of episodes reflecting earlier incarnations–including Young Eva confronting a traumatic childhood, and Adult Eva’s complex relationship with her husband, artist Tom Doyle, and an intensely focused creative process. In the end, an unlikely angel of death appears to help her make peace. Through the expressionistic evocation of Eva Hesse’s story, Meditations explores the profound human desire to create meaningful work.
