In 1999, the founders of Playwrights 6 had the vision to create a theatre company devoted to nurture writers and actors in a creative environment driven by writers and the written word.
The Writer/Actor Lab was born, where plays, musicals, and screenplays for film and television have been developed where writers and actors give supportive and constructive criticism for new works.
In one quick decade, Playwrights 6 also has a rich Production History, the staged reading series for participants in the Writer/Actor Lab Play Night With the Playwright. Playwrights 6 ended their first ten years with a play contest which birthed a new staged reading series for the 2010 Contest Winners.
